When did you start slacklining?
2014 GoPro Games, when I got a free line at the trickline competition!
What kept you hooked?
It was definitely a combination of that feeling of learning to walk and also just all the great people in the community that motivated me. Slacklining was also a great way to keep me fit.
What sports were you into before slacklining?
I was a big wake boarder rock climber and mountain biker, so slacklining was right up my alley.
What’s your favorite type of slacklining, and how do you live your slacklife?
I’m doing festivals, assemblies, and workshops but I’m very focused on tricklining as well. I’m just starting to scratch the surface on highline and longline. Basically I’m an all-around slackliner.
Was there something specific about the GoPro Games that got you hooked on slacklining?
It was the tricklining competition for sure. I remember seeing Mickey Wilson lay down some crazy tricks and then I got to talk with him afterwards and was really inspired by his determination love of the sport!
What is your favorite trick?
I love working on all sorts of tricks: butt bounces, front flips, statics and yoga. I can’t really pick one specific trick because I love all of it!
Do you have any advice for all the new slackliners out there?
I guess my advice to other slackliners is to just keep practicing, do it often, and try to spread the slacklove as much as you can. The best part about slacklining is the ability to share it with other people.
